-PLATOoN Medal of Honor #1 : - 50 Perfect missions.

Dwight "Ike" Thorn was born in 1938 in Helsinki, Finland. His father Paul served Finnish army and was missing in action during winter war in 1940.
Paul was member of finnish LRRP team "kaukopartio". Ike was grown up in the middle of stories about his father. Life wasn't easy and Ike and his mother Irma moved to USA in the 1950 to find a better life.
Ike joined US marines 1958 and had his first tour to 'nam in 1965. After coming back home he volunteered to Special Forces training for LRRP (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol) following his father's trail.
His next tour to 'nam started at 1967, after many successed operations he was ordered to lead team [PLATOoN] far behind enemy lines.
Ike likes silent weapons, Sten II is his favourite.

General John J. Rambo [NL] Medic

-PLATOoN Medal of Honor #3 : - 50 Perfect missions

John James Rambo was born on July 6, 1947 in Bowie, Arizona to a Native American Navajo father (R. Rambo and a mother (Marie Dragoo) of Italian descent. However, Marshall Murdock states that Rambo is of Indian/German descent.)
Rambo graduated from Rangeford High School, and then was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 17. On June 8, 1964. He was deployed to South Vietnam in September 1966. He returned to the U.S. in 1967 and began training in the Special Forces (Green Berets) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
At some point he also receives training in flying helicopters. In late 1969, Rambo was deployed back to Vietnam. In November 1971, he was captured by North Vietnamese forces near the Chinese-Vietnamese border and held at a POW camp, where he and other American POWs were repeatedly tortured. Rambo escaped captivity in May 1972, but was then re-deployed.
Upon his return to the U.S., Rambo discovered that many American civilians hated the returning soldiers, and he himself was subject to humiliation and embarrassment by having anti-war hippies throw garbage at him and calling him "baby killer".
His experiences in Vietnam and back home resulted in an extreme case of post-traumatic stress disorder. At the same time, inner questions of self identity and reflectiveness cause Rambo to lash out at society rather than handling difficult situations in a "civilized" manner

Lieutenant General Andrew L. Vecchiopirla "Vecchio" [ITA] Medic

Andrew Louis Vecchiopirla “ Vec” US Army medical officer, was born in Massachusset from a humble family. His parents were farmers, like so many many generations before them. He grew up surrounded by men with high standard of values.
Since he could remember he has dreamed of the world as a peacefull place, and has always wanted to help make it that way. His father Paul gave him all his support for Andrew to study medicine in US Army accademy , so Vec become a young skilled medical officer. He was one of the most advantaged and smart young students and graduate with honors. He met a lovely girl at the University, they fell deeply in love and decided to get married.
Dispatched in Vietnam during Tet offensive, he served in a field Hospital healing his mates wounds, both in the flesh and in the spirit. Because Vec knows them so well he can see inside their soul...the fear, the loneliness , but there courage and the loyalty too.
But Vec wasn’t meant to stay away from action, so he pushed hard, using all his higher connections, to serve in the battlefront beside his mates , where he was needed more.
“Never leave a good mate down” is Vec’s motto, that’s why he doesn't care about his own safety when he see a mate needing help. NO matter what, he tries his hardest to make them safe.
Vec is a middle aged man, he doesn't run fast, he smokes too much, and now far from his beloved wife, he dreams all night to return to her side and love her deeply, day and night, but he knows that right now his mission is to serve his country.
Despite all he maintains a good sense of humor and friendship, but never put yourself in the middle of his sights, his aim is really good , his weapon always oiled and ready……
If you are bleeding...call him...if you need a friend , talk to him...if you are looking for a bloody bastard enemy.... better run when he is around!!!!

Lieutenant General Mike Murphy "Murph" [NL] Engineer

-PLATOoN Medal of Honor #2 : - 50 Perfect missions

Mike Murphy was born in Kingston, Texas on the day that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941).
He grew up in a poor family on a small farm without his father, who had left them, when Mike had the age of 10.
Mike’s only possession was an old .22 small rifle.
He loved to hunt in the county, shooting rabbits, ducks and squirrels.
He couldn’t affort to miss his target, because there wasn’t any money left for new bullets.
That’s where he learned his sniper skills.

In the year of 1965, Mike joined the Special Forces.
The pressure on him was enormous, because of his famous uncle Audie Murphy, WWII’s most decorated soldier.
Everybody compares him with his famous uncle and pushed him to just be like him.
From 1967 till 1969, Mike fought in “Nam” and killed many truckloads of “gooks”.
To keep on going, Mike uses a lot of humour and try to protect his mates he cares a lot of.

Mike loves old weapons like the M14, Mosin Nagant and the STG44.

Mike died during a plane crash together with his famous uncle Audie Murphy on May 28, 1971 at the age of 29

RTO. In 1970 he came to Vietnam and was assigned to 7/402d Infantry
(Airmobile).

previous standard of the FFL, to honour the heroes of Dien Bien Phu.

2nd Lieutenant Jethro Gibbs [UK] Medic

Jethro Gibbs was born in the Bronx at the end of the WWII, orphaned at an early age, his mother died in childbirth, and his father was killed in action during the Korean War.
He was brought up by his Grandparents, Ely and Jenny. Ely was a medic during the Great War, his stories of saving casualties under fire inspired a young Gibbs to join the US Army Medical Corps..
Up until the Vietnam war, Gibbs had had an uneventful career, most of his postings had been to back-water bases.
As Gibbs was a city-boy, he revelled in the freedom of the countryside where he was based, he was taught tracking and hunting and became quite the sharp-shooter.

As the Vietnam conflict gathered momentum, Gibbs applied for the role of Combat Medic, and was finally given a posting overseas.
Gibbs arrived in-country and found himself based miles behind lines away from the action he so desperately craved.

The final straw came when a returning medic let slip the meaning of REMF, Gibbs was incensed and demanded that he be allowed up to the front lines to do what he was trained for.
He was originally based aboard CasEvac Helos, until one aircraft he was aboard had to put down behind enemy lines. Gibbs helped the infantry soldiers hold off waves of attacking VC main force, his determination and grit did not go un-noticed and the Army SGM of the rescue team put in formal request that Gibbs be assigned to his unit.

'Be careful what you wish for' is what Gibbs tells eager FMJs during his R&R jaunts back to Saigon, 'You just might get it'.

In the field, Gibbs puts his medical skills to good use, seeing death as an occupational hazard and the deaths of his squad-mates as a personal slight on his professionalism.
Often berating his teammates for not taking care of themselves, not drinking enough and not wearing their steel helmets. It is said that he would have ran halfway down the Ho Chi Minh trail to revive a fallen comrade.
Gibbs is a non-smoker, but carries a pack in his head-band, for those cases where nothing can be done except for a last smoke.
Although for wounded soldiers, many have been very glad to hear his catchphrase 'Tender Loving Care!' and Gibbs doesn't have to buy many drinks for himself come R&R.
Gibbs is a slow moving, cautious soldierwho puts his sharpshooting experience into practice, repeating the mantra 'One shot, One kill'.
He often berates his teammates for not taking care of themselves, not drinking enough and not wearing their steel helmets.
In his spare time, Gibbs likes pina coladas and walks in the rain.
